Take advantage of family tradition at the Schlosshotel in Zermatt
At the Schlosshotel Zermatt you are warmly welcomed like one of the family. For hospitality is tradition at the Schlosshotel.
The 1960’s: In 1964 Zermatt artist and chef, Lothar Stöpfer, began with the construction of the guest house «Tenne». He did this by using traditional dark wood which originally housed 5 stables close to the village of Randa. The «Tenne» opened in 1965 and became one of the most hospitable hotels in Zermatt as well as one of the best restaurants.
The 1980’s: In October 1984 local Zermatt family, Alex Perren, acquired the hotel. The Perren family renovated the whole hotel in only 5 months. Some of the rooms displayed a touch of Art-Deco, while others boasted a rustic-alpine theme using traditional wood.
2000 onwards: In 2011 Alex Perren jr took over the reins of the «Schlosshotel Tenne». He manages the hotel with his wife, Pamela, and together they strive to continue family tradition. With heart and soul, your hosts are dedicated to make every guest feel at home. In 2012 the hotel underwent a huge transformation and extension in order to create a world of luxury: 49 unique and stylish hotel rooms. The “Tenne” was transformed into the “Schlosshotel” boasting pure luxury for relaxing holidays in Zermatt.
